The activity carried out by S. CARFIL, at the Harman Pyrotechnic Section, falls under the provisions of Law no. 59/2016 on the control of the dangers of major accidents in which dangerous substances are involved, being included in the category of major risk.
The company drew up and submitted to the competent territorial authorities (Environmental Protection Agency Brașov, Environmental Guard – SCJ Brasov and the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Brașov) the Notification regarding the identification of hazardous substances present on the site, according to art. 7 paragraph (l) of Law no. 59/2016.
The activity carried out within the Harman Pyrotechnic Section consists in the manufacture of products, assemblies, sub-assemblies, military technical equipment and the storage of products and raw materials
explosives.
Activities with risks are carried out in separate and armored compartments, in specially arranged areas that do not endanger the employed staff or other objectives on the premises or outside the company.
The activities in this sector comply with the specific labor safety rules, the regime of explosive materials and dangerous and toxic products and substances.
Explosive materials, products and pyrotechnic elements are stored in the warehouse in compliance with the legal storage regulations in force.
The existing workshops and sheds on the site are located within the precinct, are sealed, monitored daily and are surrounded by undulations of grassy and wooded land of a height greater than or equal to the height of the building. The buildings are equipped with fire extinguishing equipment.
The Ward’s security is provided by its own trained personnel, as well as by representatives of a security company equipped with weapons and ammunition.
Complementary activities:
– clearing the vegetation, to ensure good visibility and prevent the generation of fires;
– specific activities for preventing and extinguishing fires.
