Industry, evolution
The industrial activity of the current company, CARFIL S.A. Braşov, started in the summer of 1922. From 1936, in addition to other production branches, our company turned into a manufacturer of military equipment for the Romanian Army.
The subsequent stages of development and modernization of the production capacities placed our company in the position of a top producer of military equipment for the Romanian Army and for our external partners.
At the moment, the degree of integration of manufacturing is high, through the equipment and technologies applied within the company.
The products from the company’s manufacturing range are made on the basis of the constructive documentation developed by:
– specialized institutes in the field;
– the research-design department within the company.
Tehnology
The technologies and technological equipment, necessary for the production of the products that our company offers, are designed in our specialized workshops.
Instruments, tools, devices, molds, testers and stands are made in our own tool shop.
The company has workshops for mechanical processing and assembly, pyrotechnic workshops, ballistic testing and testing ground, physics and chemistry laboratories.
The company has implemented a quality assurance system according to ISO 9001: 2001 and is accredited in this sense by specialized bodies – CERTIND in the following fields of activity: design – development, production, assembly and service for products in the field of military technology, based on certificate no. 1267C/2007.

Taking permanent contact with the requirements of various external partners as well as with the novelties in the field brought to the market by traditional manufacturers, taking into account the current equipment of our internal partner MAp and to increase the technical and competitive level with the aim of compatibility with NATO and EU products, CARFIL SA has been concerned with the assimilation in manufacturing of products compatible with those existing in the equipment of the armies of the NATO member countries and carries out a continuous activity for:
− development of research and collaboration partnerships with research institutes in the country as a co-partner;
– redesigning constructive solutions in order to improve the way of exploitation;
− performance improvement;
− diversification of the manufacturing range;
− improving the presentation and packaging of products.
