Heroes’ Day started in the best possible way, by participating in the exhibition of the Carfil company organized within Romtehnica, together with

• Mr. Col. Dr. Eng. Ion Pleșa, deputy of the General Directorate for Armaments within the MApN,
• Mr. Șerban Lungu, director of the MApN Integrated Planning Directorate,
• Mr. Mircea Tanțau, general director of Carfil and
• Mrs. Ruxandra Anghel, director of the Directorate for Defense Industry within MEAT.

Carfil, a Romarm subsidiary specializing in anti-tank grenade launchers, smoke and explosive bombs, thermobaric strikes and bomb launchers, is the only Romanian company leading a consortium in a project submitted to the European Defense Fund and also part of several consortia in ambitious projects, regarding both bombs with advanced technologies and thermobaric strikes, based on research developed in Romania, intelligent guidance systems and aerospace vehicles developed in collaboration with European and American profile companies, but also together with Romanian companies,
having an important role in stimulating research with real impact in the economy and in the national military technique.

A robust defense industry, connected to the latest technologies and advances in research, in close collaboration both with the Romanian Army and with NATO partners and major international companies, is the key to strengthening and developing Romania’s strategic capabilities.
